Purpose
The Vassar W. Hurt III scholarship pays FULL IN-STATE TUITION for a Virginia State University ROTC Student in his or her sophomore, junior or senior year. Students beyond their fourth year at the university are also eligible for this scholarship. Students with special needs may also receive financial assistance for books, if they meet certain criteria.
Cadet Edward Shepherd is commissioned as 2LT by PMS LTC Dial in 1993.
Edward Shepherd is now a COLONEL in the Army Reserve and full time GOVT Employee.
